Lost – Oakley Whisker Sunglasses

I lost my Oakley Whiskers sunglasses! *bawls*

I’m so heartsick now. Not only did the sunglasses cost a bomb to buy (more than RM700), worse, it was a birthday present from hubs last year. I had it only for 1 year, and now it’s gone. *karrrkk*…can you hear my heart breaking?  L

It happened few weeks ago, I was going to a ‘Buka Puasa’ dinner with my colleagues right after work. So, I started packing my stuff – purse, handphone, laptop etc into my laptop bag. I don’t carry a handbag because I keep everything into the laptop bag. I was going to stuff my Oakley into the bag, but I thought, I better not because I had to take the laptop bag with me to dinner since it’s not safe to leave the laptop in the car. I didn’t want the Oakley to get squashed in the bag together with the other stuffs. My laptop bag’s quite small. I thought I would leave the Oakley in the car (glove compartment) while I’m at dinner.

That’s what I plan was. But apparently I packed everything else and left the office, leaving my Oakley on my table! I went to dinner then went home. Then I realized that I seemed to have forgotten my Oakley. Searched my car, my house, I can’t find it. Went back to office the next morning and it’s gone! Gone! I search my car and everywhere else again and it’s nowhere to be found. *karrrrkkk*

I highly suspect that I had left it on my table and someone stole it from my table. What kind of office is this!? But, there’s no evidence. There are some CCTVs in the office, but not anywhere near where I’m sitting. I don’t know what else I can do.

    Try sending a email to everyone in the office…claiming someone might have ‘accidentally taken’ ur oakley…and plead for that someone to return…threaten that you know who ‘borrowed’ it (cctv or with security’s help, simply whack la…) and you will take action if it’s not returned after a week’s time…see what happens…nothing else u can do if that bugger is daring enuff to take the risk, knowing the cctv is nowhere near ur place…anyway, might just scare the shit out of him…who knows…rite…

    chris : I don’t think it’s the staff. Most probably it’s the cleaners/guards etc etc. Because when I left office, it was late already, not many people left in the office.

    Aiks.. Sorry to hear this! I can feel your heartache. :( …

    I lost a U2 jacket which I like very very much while I was on biz trip. And there’s no more that design in the market. I couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, sad, upset, complaint a lot a lot over it and swear that i’ll never buy a jacket that cost RM150 anymore. Not to mention Oakley. :( .

    If you get another Oakley, remember to get the box then you won’t worry about squashing it in bags, even though u have to pay a bit more.

    It’s so heartbreaking to lost something you treasure, isn’t it?
    Well, I’m over it already. Been shopping for a new Oakley now :) . But trying to get someone to get it for me from US, cause it’s much cheaper there.

    Thanks for the advice. Why didn’t I think of that? duh…
